Anoop Subnis (65), founder of ASNIK India and creator of the Sigma Educational App, is a first-class Mechanical Engineer with a Diploma in Business Management. With an illustrious 34-year career at top management levels in Mahindra, Tatas, and JSW, he also carries the unique honor of playing first-class cricket for Madhya Pradesh and Mumbai from 1983 to 1991.
Motivated by a strong desire to uplift underprivileged families, Anoop shifted his focus to education—the foundation of a progressive society. He began developing the Sigma App in 2016, a project that took four years and extensive grassroots research. During his outreach in Maharashtra and beyond, he interacted with over 250,000 students and 30,000–40,000 parents, discovering the severe lack of access to quality and affordable education in rural areas.
Driven by this mission, Anoop remains committed to creating equal learning opportunities for students regardless of their economic background. He firmly believes that nurturing a generation of knowledgeable individuals is the key to building a stronger and more inclusive India.
